The Church is supposed to be a plurality and yet it is to be united and singular.

An exploration of Christian theology and faith from the start

I think that there are a couple of ways we can look at this.
1. The variety is in the gifts of the body but the unity is found in commonality of their vision. Some people (even churches) are better musically, some like to think and teach more than others, and so on. However, the common denominator is found in the mutually shared goal of advancing Christ's Kingdom.
2. The diversity is found in gifts and passions within the body, but the head unites them together. Although a rough analogy, the head (brain) communicates to many connected yet separate parts of the body and through its direction moves the body in unision.
I know it's the cliche Sunday School answer, but "Jesus" is the right one i think.
Nice blog by the way. I look forward to coming back.
